MUSCLE

MUSCLE - Multiscale Coupling Library and Environment is a platform independent agent system to couple multiscale simulations. It provides the software framework to build simulations according to the complex automata theory defined in the  COAST project. The implemented generic coupling mechanism reduces common problems and facilitate the development of multiscale simulations consisting of a multitude of submodels. The resulting implementation allows the coupling of legacy as well as dedicated codes with only minor adjustments.

MUSCLE is currently a part of the software stack provided by the MAPPER project, where it is enhanced and adapted to the Grid infrastructures.

Installation

The bundle of the MUSCLE framework can be downloaded and compiled on a target machine. For details see the Installation section.
